"Not yet, not yet; wait awhile, my warriors."

Dunmail, known as the last king of Cumberland, is fabled to lie under the cairn atop Dunmail Raise in Cumbria. According to folklore, he was slain in battle with King Edmund of England and King Malcolm of Scotland, and defeated warriors were forced to pile stones on his body where he lay. Survivors who escaped the battle are said to have taken his crown and thrown it into Grisedale Tarn.

Every year, loyal warriors retrieve the crown and take it to the cairn, and strike it with their spears to wake the king, who responds "Not yet, not yet; wait awhile, my warriors."
